I’ve always loved books. All the women in my family love books and I’m convinced this is a genetic trait passed down to each generation. In college, I studied literature (shocker) and I still get excited whenever I set foot in a library or bookstore. (Does anyone else love the smell of books??) Being the bibliophile that I am, once a month, I'll be sharing a book that inspired me, moved me, or taught me something.
My first pick is this fantastic book by @leilajanah, founder, CEO, and activist. I read this book while in Maui and I was so inspired by her drive to make the world a better place by giving people work instead of a handout. Her company, @samasource, not only gives people job skills to better their communities, the added benefit is a sense of dignity and self-worth - priceless. A brilliant, pioneering woman, who loves nature, and has a huge heart...I hope to be just a little like her someday. #worldbookday #givework #read #socialimpact
