I stand in solidarity with my hijabi sisters who face discrimination daily in the workplace, in schools & in society.
From the New Zealand attack victims, to the women who fought for their liberty to wear a hijab in Tunisia as my mother had, to my sisters in the Uk who have been attacked with acid, to the women who have been fines & jailed for their choice in clothing in France & rest of Europe, to my friends who got discriminated from attaining job interviews in canada and America because of their Muslim name or appearance, we are standing proud with you.
You don’t have to have the same belief or appearance as someone to support them, and on this day I’m so proud of everyone who has come together to stand in solidarity and in unity ❤️
Thank you @worldhijabday for this initiative
