Balayage Pre Application Tips!
1. Pre-Section: Before you mix up your product, pre section your clients hair. Think of it as a blue print. Where do you want dimension, where the brightness will go, and placement. Section it out. Then go mix. You’ll return ready to apply with your canvas ready to go! This sets you up for painting the clients hair more intentionally.
2. Brightness vs Depth: Taking smaller section sizes will create more brightness. Taking bigger sections builds in depth. This can translate over into your blueprint when you pre section. Smaller sections around the face☀️. Bigger sections towards the back where the sun wouldn’t hit.
3. The Set up: Have the tools you’ll be needing on your tray ready to go. E.g color brushes, clips, comb, plastic wrap/foils, balayage paddle, gloves, extra towel, cape protector, and anything else you use while applying.
In conclusion, this will prepare you to start your balayage, and move quicker through it, while staying organized and intentionally applying lightener.
✨All of these tips can be applied to any color or highlighting service! ✨Anything specific you like to do to prepare for a color or highlight application? Please tell me! 🙋🏻♀️
