Over the next 10 days we will be looking at 10 keys to unlocking our full potential.
: Knowing your source
This relates to one of the fundamental questions that control the human race and our actions: Where do I come from? This goes far beyond our geographic origins or how far life has taken us, but speaks to the organic source of all human creation. And that is God. How we answer this ‘Where do I come from?’ question lies in whether we acknowledge God to be our Source or not. Though our acknowledgment of Him does not confirm or deny the truth of us originating from Him.
When we acknowledge and discover God to be our Source, we understand who we are, answering another pivotal existential question: Who am I? Through exploring God, we discover ourselves. We find out He is the true vine, but also that we are His branches. Therefore, as branches, nothing we do of ourselves will bear fruit unless we are actively and constantly connected to Him as the source. Our nourishment we receive through Him, for only He is able to pull the water out of the soil and feed us. All we need comes from Him. He knows all our needs. Knowing this, we are comforted never to worry about a single thing.
When we know our Source, when we know God and are confident of our relationship with Him, we come to the revelation that we are joint heirs with Christ. We believe what 1 Peter 2:9 says of us and many other scriptures say about our identity in Christ.
Basically, knowing God sets us up for life. Jesus said, “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life.” Knowing from scripture that He never spoke of His own accord but only what the Father sent Him to say, Knowing the Father through the salvation power of His Son, assures us that in Him we are never lost, never lied to or in the dark.
Knowing God = Clear direction
Knowing God = Enlightenment and Knowledge
Knowing God = Life
Therefore, the first step to realizing our full potential is coming into personal relationship with God through the salvation of Christ. May you have faith enough to believe that God wants you to be your best, but more than that, He wants you.
God loves you. Stay blessed💛
